All plant samples were obtained from adult specimens collected in Brazil (savannah, Atlantic forest and Amazon rainforest). Five 2-mm-diameter plugs of the culture of Mycosphaerella sp. were inoculated into each of 600 Petri dishes (90-mm diameter) containing 20 ml of PDA. The plates were incubated at 25±2 °C for 15 days.
